Ask ChatGPT about your Whoop data.

You can ask ChatGPT or Claude about your Whoop data by connecting ghurt — a remote MCP server that reads your recovery, strain, HRV, and sleep data on demand and hands it to your AI when you ask. Whoop supports standard OAuth, so you authorize through Whoop's own login screen and ghurt never sees your password. Connect once in your browser, then just ask.

What you actually get

A question you'd genuinely type, and the kind of answer that comes back.

How to connect Whoop to ChatGPT or Claude

Entirely in-chat. No terminal, nothing to install.

  1. Create a free ghurt account

Email and password. No card. 30 queries per calendar month on the free tier.

  2. Authorize Whoop

Click connect and you'll be sent to Whoop's own login screen. You authorize there; ghurt receives a token and never sees your password.

  3. Add ghurt to ChatGPT or Claude in one click

Your dashboard has a one-click connector for both. Claude Code, Cursor, and other MCP clients can connect with an API key instead.

  4. Ask

Ask in plain language. The AI calls ghurt, ghurt fetches fresh from Whoop, and you get an answer with your actual numbers in it.

What your AI can read from Whoop

With the scoring context models need to read it correctly.

Recovery

Recovery score (0–100), HRV as RMSSD in milliseconds, and resting heart rate. ghurt tells the model the zones — green 67–100, yellow 34–66, red 0–33.

Strain

Cardiovascular strain on Whoop's 0–21 scale, with the bands: light 0–9, moderate 10–13, strenuous 14–17, all out 18–21.

Sleep & body

Sleep performance (0–100), skin temperature, and SpO2.

Why the context matters: Whoop strain is a 0–21 scale, not a percentage. An AI that assumes 0–100 will read a strain of 16 as "low" when it's actually strenuous — and will say so confidently. ghurt ships the scale and the bands with the number, so the model reads it the way Whoop meant it.

Your Whoop account and data

Facts, before you connect anything.

Standard OAuth — no password

You authorize through Whoop's own login flow. ghurt never sees or stores your Whoop password.

Health data is never stored

Each question fetches from Whoop and passes through to your AI. Recovery, strain, and HRV are not written to our servers.

Disconnect anytime

Whoop and a Garmin on the other wrist?

ghurt reads both, so your AI can compare them directly — Whoop's recovery model against Garmin's Body Battery and HRV status, on the same night.

They're different models of the same body and they will disagree. That disagreement is usually the interesting part, and a single-device connector structurally can't show it to you.

Whoop + AI questions

Can ChatGPT read my Whoop data?

Not on its own — ChatGPT has no access to your Whoop account. Connecting ghurt gives it access: ghurt is a remote MCP server that authorizes with Whoop through standard OAuth and reads your recovery, strain, HRV, and sleep data on demand when you ask a question about it.

Do I have to give ghurt my Whoop password?

No. Whoop supports standard OAuth, so you authorize through Whoop's own login screen and ghurt never sees your password. You can revoke access at any time from your ghurt dashboard.

Do I need my own Whoop developer credentials?

No. You authorize ghurt through Whoop's normal OAuth screen — there's no developer account to create and no API keys of your own to manage. Some other Whoop connectors ask you to register as a developer first; ghurt doesn't.

Which Whoop metrics can the AI read?

Recovery score (0–100), cardiovascular strain (0–21), sleep performance (0–100), HRV as RMSSD in milliseconds, resting heart rate, skin temperature, and SpO2.

ghurt passes the scoring context too, so the model knows strain is a 0–21 scale rather than a percentage, and that recovery of 67+ is the green zone.

Is my Whoop health data stored?

No. Each question fetches fresh from Whoop and passes through to your AI. Recovery scores, strain, and HRV aren't written to our servers — there's no synced copy of your health data.

What does it cost?

Free tier: 30 queries per calendar month, no credit card. Pro is $10/month for unlimited queries. Both cover Whoop, Garmin, and Oura.
